PURPOSE: To obtain the titled square cylinder useful for simplified packed containers or the like with high accuracy and productivity by a method wherein thermoplastic plastic sheet is fed at constant speed and rolled into hollow cylinder and then jointed at the overlapped parts and, after that, shaped in a square cylindrical form at the heater zone of a square column mandrel and then cooled.
CONSTITUTION: The continuous thermoplastic plastic sheet S fed at constant speed is successively charged to a cylinder forming device 1 in order to be rolled into hollow cylinder at a bending part comprising a large number of forming rollers 3a and a cylindrical mandrel 3b and jointed at the overlapped parts S' by a jointer 4 in order to mold into cylinder T. The cylinder T is past through the heater zone 5a of the square column mandrel 5 in order to shape into a square cylindrical form B and further cooled at a cooling zone 5 and finally sent out by lead-in rollers 2' in order to continuously obtain the objective square cylinder B.
