Title:
CONTINUOUS PARTICULATE ANALYSIS METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3035115
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To determine the concentration of each constitution element of particulates and the entire concentration positively by obtaining the difference of H2O concentration in a sample gas and a reference gas that in CO2 concentration, and that in SO2 concentration and then using a specific equation.
CONSTITUTION: The difference in H2O concentration in a sample gas and a reference gas, that in CO2 concentration, and that in SO2 concentration are obtained. Then, when it is judged that particulates contained in the sample gas are constituted of carbon, carbon hydride, and sulfur, an equation I is used. On the other hand, when it is judged that the particulates contained in the sample gas are constituted of carbon hydride and sulfate with water of crystallization, an equation II is used, thus determining the total concentration of particulates for each constitution constituent and the total concentration of particulates continuously and accurately, where y indicates the mole ratio (y=H/C) of carbon to hydrogen constituting carbon hydride and PP' indicates the number of molls of excessive O2 for m and n.
