PURPOSE: To optionally speed up the transferring speed of an item to be worked and to improve the productive efficiency by chucking and transferring shackle ring semifinished goods forcedly when they are transferred to each die cavity such as a clamping metal.

CONSTITUTION: When a short steel wire W of a shackle ring material is supplied, locked to a step part S1 on the upper side and segmental die pieces 9a, 9b are approached and operated, the short wire W and a semi-formed part W3 are clamped between upper and lower die cavities A, B. Then, when an elevating frame 11 is moved downward and pressing dies 7, 8 are advanced and moved, the short steel wire W is made into the semi-formed part W3 and, on one hand, both ends of the semi-formed part W3 are formed into spheres and the total length is reduced further and made into shackle ring semifinished goods. Hereafter, the pressing dies 7, 8 are retreated, the elevating frame 11 is returned and, further, when the segmental die pieces 9a, 9b are separated from each other, the shackle ring semifinished goods W3 are dropped by gravity from the lower die cavity hole and taken outward as both end parts are guided by facing dies 11a, 11b.
