PURPOSE: To produce the continously rolled cast ingot of an even size by fitting and opposedly disposing a pair of rolls provided with the large-diameter surface and small-diameter surface of the specified width in the central part of the respective outside peripheral surfaces, revolving the rolls and pouring molten metal in the fitted cavity part.
CONSTITUTION: A large-diameter surface 8 and small-diameter surface 8' are so provided to the central part of the respective outside peripheral surfaces of a pair of rolls 3, 3' that the fitted cavity part 6 of the specified width is formed. These rolls are fitted and opposedly disposed and while they are being revolved and cooling water is being supplied into each water supply hole 10, molten metal is poured into the cavity part 6, whereby a metal strip or metal plate is continuously formed. Since these rolling rolls have a large heat capacity, the cooling of the rolling part may be achieved at a high speed and there is no likelihood for producing any cracking or notches on the both side edges of the product owing to cooling defect.
