PURPOSE: To obtain monoisocyanates or polyisocyanates in a short time and in a high yield by a method in which a solution of phosgene in an organic solvent is mixed with monoamines or polyamines in a nozzle of a special structure, each component of a formed product flow is reacted while avoiding clogging and solid deposition.
CONSTITUTION: Into a nozzle 1 in which an insert body 4, in which a lateral hole part 5 is formed, is inserted into supply piping 2 to form a contraction part 3, one of a phosgene component consisting of the solution of phosgene in an organic solvent (concentration 10-85 wt.%, especially 40-65 wt.%) and an amine component, which consists of monoamine or polyamine and as required dissolved in an organic solvent (concentration 5-50 wt.%, especially 10-25 wt.%) is supplied as an axial flow at a flow velocity at the contraction part of 1-10 m/sec, while the other is introduced as a lateral flow into the axial flow through the hole part 5 to form a product flow, and each component of the product flow is reacted to obtain an intended compound. The phosgene component is preferably supplied as the axial flow.
