Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a rubber-modified styrenic resin having extremely improved impact resistance and surface luster.
CONSTITUTION: In this method for producing a rubber-modified styrenic resin from a styrenic monomer and an acrylonitrile-based monomer in the presence of a rubber-like polymer by using a continuous polymerizer consisting of two or more reactors by a continuous bulk and/or solution polymerization method, (1) the method comprises a first process in which raw materials for polymerization are fed to the first reactor and the monomers are polymerized in a state wherein the rubber-like polymer is not substantially transferred to a dispersion phase and a second process in which the polymerization raw materials are added to the second reactor, etc., and the rubber-like polymer is transferred to the dispersion phase and (2) the ratio of the raw materials added in the second process based on the raw materials used in the first process is 10-220wt.%.
