To provide a continuous refining system for high-purity aluminum which can reduce eutectic impurities and peritectic impurities in a small facility area in a short period of time, decreases a residual molten metal formed in refining treatment as much as possible, and can improve energy efficiency in the refining treatment.
One set of a line includes a series of apparatuses provided with: melting furnaces 11, 21 and 31 for aluminum; a plurality of serially-connected molten-metal holding tanks 13, 23 and 33 into which the molten metal from the melting furnaces is sequentially supplied; and rotary coolants 130, 230 and 330 which pair up with the respective molten-metal holding tanks. This refining system is formed of lines of the order N (where 2N), which employ a plural sets of the lines. A high-purity aluminum ingot which has deposited and been solidified on the rotary coolant in a (n-1)-th line (where 2nN) and then has been collected is melted in the melting furnace in the subsequent n-th line. The molten metal sequentially passes through the molten-metal holding tanks, and is discharged. The numbers of the holding tanks and rotary coolants in the n-th line are less than those in the (n-1)-th line.
