PURPOSE: To improve productivity by adding a sewing machine in a second process for forming to a cylindrical shape and a conveyor used therefor.
CONSTITUTION: When a first carrying detection sensor 27 detects a fact that twice-folded cloth W comes to a prescribed position on a carrying line of a first conveyor 25 and a sewing detector detects a fact that the next cloth can be received, a first conveyor 25 is stopped. Subsequently, by operating a first branch carrying device, the cloth W on the carrying line of a first conveyor 25 is transferred onto a first branch table 2 and carried to a first sewing machine 6 for forming a cylindrical shape, and a sleeve of a cylindrical shape is formed. On the other hand, in the case it is impossible to receive the next cloth W, the cloth W is fed in onto a second conveyor 25' without stopping a first conveyor 25. When a second carrying detection sensor 27' detects the cloth W on the carrying line of a second conveyor 25' a second conveyor 25' is stopped. Next, the cloth W is transferred to a second branch table, 3, and also, carried to a second sewing machine 7, and a sleeve of a cylindrical shape is formed.
