Title:
CONTINUOUS TEMPERATURE MEASURING APPARATUS FOR MELTED METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3932612
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously and accurately measure temperature by scarcely damaging in the case of filling a cold material by providing a groove of the same direction as a direction of flow of a melted metal by an induction coil on a bottom of a crucible, and projecting a temperature measuring sensor at a height lower than a depth of the groove at the bottom of the groove.
SOLUTION: A crucible 7 made of refractory molded via an insulator is provided inside an induction coil 5. A groove 9 of the same direction as a direction of flow of a melted metal by the coil 5 is provided on the bottom 8 of the crucible 7. And, a temperature measuring sensor 1 is projected at a lower height than a depth of the groove 9 in the bottom of the groove 9. And, a cold material is filled in the crucible 7, induction heated by the coil 5, the melted metal is regulated to a predetermined component. Then, it is heated to a predetermined temperature by the sensor 1, tapped to a ladle or the like to complete one cycle of melting to be prepared for next time cold material melting. Accordingly, suitable temperature control can be facilitated.
