To provide a continuous type rotary drier, excellent in the efficiency of heat exchange between hot-air and a matter to be treated or a drying efficiency in a process for drying the matter to be treated such as waste or the like by the hot-air while agitating the matter in a rotary hollow cylindrical body having a predetermined angle of inclination.

The continuous type rotary drier is constituted of the slanted hollow cylinder 1, the rotating and supporting device of the cylinder 1, the driving device of the cylinder 1, lifters 21 attached to the inner peripheral wall of the cylinder 1, hoods 8, 8' provided at the upper end and the lower end of the inclination of the cylinder 1 and the supplying means of hot air, supplied into the cylinder 1, while the hood 8 is provided with the charging port 9 of the matter to be treated and the hood 8' is provided with the discharging port 12 of the matter as well as the outflow port 13 of exhaust gas to dry the matter to be dried by the hot-air. A hollow shaft 27, penetrating the hoods 8, 8' and having a ventilating port 33, is arranged in the cylinder 1 to constitute the drier to blow the hot-air, supplied from the end of the hollow shaft 27 through the ventilating port 33 radially, while rotating the same into the reverse direction of the cylinder 1.
