Abstract:

To provide a continuous unloader and a control method of the continuous unloader, capable of reducing weight of a machine body, and cost for the manufacture of the machine body, or the like.

The bucket elevator type continuous unloader having a bucket elevator includes: a main body part which can be installed on a top surface of a quay; a boom provided turnably with respect to the main body part, and provided with the bucket elevator; multiple brakes 75 for giving brake force to turning of the boom; and a control part for controlling operation of the multiple brakes, by switching modes between a first mode for making only brakes 75a, 75c, 75d, 75f in operation, among the multiple brakes 75, and a second mode for making all brakes 75a-75f in operation, among the multiple brakes 75.
