Title:
CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011021716
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To vary a through change gear ratio to a large change gear ratio side quickly even during a kick down shift involving modification of a gear position of a subtransmission mechanism, thereby preventing a delay in driving force increase and improving a shift feeling.

A transmission controller 12 performs a coordinated shift of changing a change gear ratio of a variator 20 to a direction reverse to a change direction of a change gear ratio of the sub-transmission mechanism 30, while changing the change gear ratio of the sub-transmission mechanism 30, to bring the through change gear ratio into a target through change gear ratio, when varying the change gear ratio of the sub-transmission mechanism 30. On the other hand, the transmission controller 12 performs a non-coordinated shift of varying a gear position of the sub-transmission mechanism 30 from the second gear position to the first gear position at a higher speed than that in the coordinated shift, while allowing a deviation between the through change gear ratio and the target through change gear ratio, instead of the coordinated shift, when performing the kick-down shift (the second gear position kick-down shift) involving modification of the gear position of the sub-transmission mechanism 30 from the second gear position to the first gear position, due to depression of an accelerator pedal.
