Title:
CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION USING ONE-WAY PLANETARY GEAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010203602
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive, small and lightweight continuously variable transmission positively transmitting driving force by a gear by continuously changing a radius and a circumferential length of a driving side rotor while having a constant pitch in the gear.

The device transmits rotation by pulling a chain 14 by a plurality of planetary gears 7 arranged evenly around a driving shaft 6, and gear change is continuously carried out by controlling distances from the driving shaft 6, in other words, revolution radii of the respective planetary gears 7. By supporting the respective planetary gears 7 by a one-way clutch 10 to freely rotate in the forward direction, and oscillation caused by periodic normal and reverse rotations generated by sliding of a cam 5 wherein a lever 13 linked to the one-way clutch 10 is eccentric, periodic change is applied to rotation speed of a revolving planetary gear 7, and the rotation speed of the planetary gear 7 in a position of breaking off and re-engaging with the chain 14 is relatively lowered with respect to a moving speed of the chain 14.
