Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003153934
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a contraceptive device wearable by a user's hands while maintaining a contraceptive effect over a long period of time, and an insertion device for wearing it, for solving the problem with conventional female contraceptive devices: that these must be repeatedly installed and removed without reliability of contraceptive effects, with users often avoiding using them because of discomfort, leading to undesired impregnation or tragic abortion in too many cases.

Based on the fact that the middle cervix of the cervical canal is slightly wider than the opening of the uterus, the tubular contraceptive device having a wide end accordingly and a check valve inside the end is worn to prevent invasion of sperms through the opening of the uterus without blocking discharge such as menstrual blood from the uterus. The contraceptive device can thus provide a contraceptive effect without discomfort over a period of time as long as a few months, without the need to repeat attaching and removing the device.
