To provide a control apparatus for a hybrid drive device capable of quickly starting an engine without causing a driver to feel a sense of incongruity.
The hybrid drive device 1 includes: a transmission mechanism 3; a motor 2 drive connected to an input shaft 6; and a clutch 4 interposed between an engine 9 and the input shaft 6. Upon the engine start during EV travel, the clutch 4 is engaged to increase the rotation of the engine 9. This control device 100 of the hybrid drive device 1 includes: a starting-time upshift control means 107 performing upshift of a transmission mechanism 3 during the engine start to generate inertial torque; and a clutch torque correction means 109. The clutch torque correction means 109 increases a torque capacity of the clutch 4 in response to inertial torque to perform the correction during the upshift by the starting-time upshift control means 107 so that the rotation speed of the engine 9 quickly rises, and prevent the transmission of the inertial torque to a driving wheel 10.
