Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate remote control of a mobile robot.SOLUTION: A robot 1 comprises a camera 3 and a communication device 4. A control apparatus 9 comprises a display device 10 for displaying an image corresponding to an image captured by the camera and transmitted by the communication device and a user interface 11. The user interface is configured such that a user can control a position of a pointer 15 on the image displayed on the display device and includes a selection device 16 which allows the user to select a position of the pointer on the image displayed on the display device. The control apparatus further comprises a calculation device 13 and a communication system 14. The calculation device calculates a movement instruction and transmits the movement instruction to the robot through the communication system. The movement instruction is calculated to move the robot to a physical position corresponding to the position of the pointer on the image selected by the user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
