Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control apparatus which eliminates the need for a signal application for the position detection and can achieve the magnetic pole position detection of a synchronous motor while operating an usual PWM (pulse width modulation) control with inexpensive digital arithmetic units such as a microcomputer.
SOLUTION: In the digital arithmetic unit 4, there is provided with the position detection means 14 which detects the magnetic pole position of the synchronous motor 1 based on a motor current differential value when the synchronous motor 1 is in a state of short circuit. The unit 4 generates a interrupt trigger signal in synchronism with a PWM signal driving a inverter 3 and starts an A/D converter then inputs an electric current of the synchronous motor 1.
