To properly change the speed of a continuously variable transmission and a stepped transmission.
The rotating speeds, i.e., engine speed Ne and MG2 speed NMG2, of rotary elements RE1 and RE3 of a differential mechanism 24 configuring a continuously variable transmission 16 are to be controlled. Target transient values Net and NMG2t for speed change are sequentially set toward the final target values Nem and NMG2m. Torques TMG1 and TMG2 of first and second motor generators MG1 and MG2 are feedback-controlled so as to bring the engine speed Ne and the MG2 speed NMG2 close to the target transient values Net and NMG2t. A change in engine torque Te in speed change transition, a change in engagement torque of a frictional engagement device of the stepped transmission 20, or interference of speed change of the transmissions 16 and 20 are reflected in the feedback control as disturbance, to properly change the speed of both transmissions 16 and 20.
