PURPOSE: To check control data and the operation of every logic circuit by a method wherein logic parts inside an ATC device are duplexed, every system comprises two pieces of CRC data and the pieces of CRC data in the faced logic parts are changed or selected according to the content of fault detection signals from the respective logic parts.
CONSTITUTION: When a first detection signal 1880 at a level H or a level L is first output from a first arithmetic part 1810, the first detection signal 1880 and a second detection signal 1890 become alternating signals as long as the first arithmetic part 1810 and a second arithmetic part 1820 are operated normally. However, when the first detection signal 1880 does not agree with a check data in second input data 1850, the second detection signal 1890 via a signal inversion part 1830 becomes a signal whose level is identical to that of the first detection signal 1880, and no alternating signal is output. Thereby, it is possible to detect whether the operation of the first arithmetic part 1810 or the second arithmetic part 1820 is normal or abnormal, and it is possible to check whether first input data 1840 or the second input data 1850 is normal or abnormal.
