PURPOSE: To prevent electric parts from getting wet when the automatic vending machine is dipped in water by providing the control box which is formed into a sealed structure except an opening provided at the lower part.

CONSTITUTION: The main body of the control box 3 arranged in a machine chamber provided at the lower part of an automatic vending machine body is formed integrally of a material such as a resin, the opening 30A is provided in the reverse surface, and there is no opening except at the opening 30A. The electric parts 34 are arranged on a substrate 34A, which is fitted directly with a connector 35 for connecting a commodity discharging mechanism and electric parts outside the control box 30 to the electric parts 34. Then, the substrate 34A on which the electric parts 34 are mounted and the control box 30 are fitted freely detachably. If the automatic vending machine is dipped in water, the opening 30A is closed with the water surface since no opening is formed except at the opening 30A when the water increases in amount to reach the opening 30A below the control box 30, so that the control box 30 is sealed.
