To provide a control cable which enables easy operation, and is excellent in productivity by preventing operation inability due to thermal expansion and thermal contraction of an outer tube.
The control cable includes an outer tube and an inner wire slidably accommodated within the outer tube. The outer tube consists of an inner layer, an intermediate layer, and an outer layer made of a polymer material, and a reinforcing layer made of a metal wire. The reinforcing layer is provided between the intermediate layer and the outer layer. The outer tube is formed into a unit so that exfoliation does not occur between the inner layer and the intermediate layer and between the intermediate layer and the outer layer. The intermediate layer and the outer layer are made of the same material, and the melting point of the material of the inner layer is higher than the melting point of the material of the intermediate layer and the outer layer.
