Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control cable capable of properly preventing generation of vibration and noise in rotating a flexible shaft, and reducing sliding resistance to an outer casing in rotating the flexible shaft.SOLUTION: A control cable includes a flexible shaft having rigidity to transmit torque, a molding having core yarn and pile fixed to the core yarn, and an outer casing for housing the composite flexible shaft on which the molding is spirally wound on an outer periphery of the flexible shaft at a prescribed pitch. An outer periphery of the flexible shaft has grease, and a grease reservoir holding the grease is formed between the moldings separated in an axial direction of the flexible shaft at the prescribed pitch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
