Title:
CONTROL CIRCUIT OF SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2733004
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stabilize a control operation by preventing a thinning-out pulse from being continued when the output fluctuation value of a switching power supply is controlled to a target value by thinning out a pulse.
CONSTITUTION: A comparator 3 compares the output signal of an error amplifier 2 with a variable reference voltage generated by a reference-voltage adjusting circuit 7, it generates a signal for performing a thinning-out operation according to its voltage difference, and a thinning-out pulse generation circuit 4 generates a thinning-out pulse on the basis of the output signal of the comparator 3. A thinning-out pulse detection circuit 6 always monitors a driving pulse from the thinning-out generation circuit 4, and it detects that the thinning-out pulse or the driving pulse has been generated. When a thinning-out rate S is at 0 to 1/2, the reference voltage of the reference-voltage adjusting circuit 7 is changed to a direction in which a thinning-out operation is hard to perform so as to prevent the thinning-out operation from being continued whenever one thinning-out pulse is detected. A return-speed adjusting circuit 8 returns the reference voltage of the reference-voltage adjusting circuit 7 to an original voltage according to the output voltage of the error amplifier 2.
