PURPOSE: To eliminate waste of engine drive force by providing a clutch main body having electroviscous fluid capable of changing a transmission quantity of drive force between a drive member and a driven member and a control device for controlling voltage applied to the electroviscous fluid.
CONSTITUTION: A quantity of voltage applied to electroviscous fluid is controlled so as to transmit drive force required for an oil pump 3a between a case 2 and an outer plate 11 of a clutch main body 1 and an output shaft 3 and an inner plate 12. Accordingly, viscosity of the electroviscous fluid is changed so that this fluid may transmit drive force of a quantity required for the oil pump 3a between a case 2 side and an output shaft 3 side, while the drive force exceeding the required quantity is not transmitted to the oil pump 3a by means of slipping between the case 2 side and the output shaft 3 side. Consequently, only necessary drive force is transmitted all the time to drive the oil pump 3a irrespective of an engine speed.
