PURPOSE: To realize it with a simple operation that a comfortable state can be attained in reference to humidity, a flow speed of air flow, an amount of cloth, an amount of activity, a radiation temperature and a room temperature or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A PMV value indicating a comfortable characteristic of air conditioned environment determined by humidity, a flow speed of air flow, an amount of cloth, an amount of activity, a radiation temperature and a room temperature is expressed by a primary expression of a radiation temperature (tr) and a room temperature (ta) and then the PMV value is set to a desired numerical value. The radiation temperature (tr) of a room to be air conditioned is detected and then an air conditioner is controlled with a room temperature got by substituting the detected radiation temperature (tr) as well as the aforesaid set PMV value for the aforesaid being applied as the room temperature target value. Mere controlling of the room temperature at the air conditioner realizes a comfortable condition with humidity, flow speed of air flow, an amount of cloth and an amount of activity or the like being considered.
