PURPOSE: To easily and surely drive an air pump without interfering with the operation of a starter motor nor switching power by driving the air pump with the starter motor at the time of starting an internal combustion engine, and supplying the power to the starter motor even after the start.
CONSTITUTION: An air pump 2 is connected to a starter motor 1. The starter motor 1 connects a pinion gear 10 to a ring gear 7 by a pinion movable means 6. Further, a voltage is supplied from a battery 9 to the starter motor 1 and the pinion movable means 6 through a switching means 4. Namely, when a switch 4-b is ON, the voltage is supplied to the starter motor 1 through a voltage controlling means 5. When a switch 4-a is ON, on the other hand, the voltage is supplied to the pinion movable means 6. The switching means 4 is controlled by a control unit 3. Thus, the air pump 2 is driven by the starter motor 1 at starting, and the power is supplied to the starter motor even after the start to drive the air pump 2.
