Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of the starting characteristics due to drop of the stall revolving speed at highland by sensing the engine torque dropping condition from variation in the pressure due to altitude, and decrementally correcting the clutch torque in an amount corresponding to the drop of the engine torque. CONSTITUTION:An electronic control unit 20 is fed with signals from an engine revolving speed sensor 19, primary pulley revolving speed sensor 21, secondary pulley revolving speed sensor 22, and airconditioner and choke operating situation sensors 23, 24. Controls are performed by feeding a clutch control signal from the electronic control unit 20 into an electromagnetic clutch 2 and the speed change control signal and line pressure control signal into an oil pressure control circuit 17 of a continuous transmission 4. The engine torque dropping condition is sensed from pressure variation due to altitude, and the clutch torque is decrementally corrected by an amount corresponding to the drop of the engine torque.
