Abstract:

PURPOSE: To detect the optimum nozzle exchanging timing while maintaining the pouring accuracy by arranging a wearing loss detecting means, which detects the nozzle wearing loss in the pouring spout, in a control device for pressurizing type or stopper type automatic pouring furnace.

CONSTITUTION: By impressing shotting pressure into the pouring furnace 1 from a pressurizing adjusting device 16, the molten metal 3 is poured into a mold from the pouring spout 5. Then, by measuring gross furnace weight by a load cell 10 before pouring and after every pourings, the molten metal 3 weight Wi subtracting the tare weight of furnace 1 is found by a molten metal weight detector 11. An arithmetic circuit 13 operates an initial mean pouring weight w0 and a mean pouring weight wi after the initial mean pouring from the measuring value Wi stored in a memory circuit 12. A first and second judging circuits 14, 15 decide correction of an adjusting device 16 or timing of the pouring nozzle exchanging in relation of operating value w0, wi, to output command signal. In this way, the optimum timing of nozzle exchanging is found, while maintaining the pouring accuracy.
