Abstract:
To maintain properly the quantity of automatic transmission fluid(ATF) in a transmission.
The level of the ATF is detected by a level sensor 68 installed in an unillustrated oil pan of an automatic transmission 18. If the detection value is out of a standard range determined by a design, the ATF is supplied from a heat storage tank 44 to the automatic transmission 18 or reversely from the automatic transmission 18 to the heat storage tank 44 by opening of selector valves 48, 50 as long as a prescribed time. The heat storage tank 44 for adjusting the temperature of the automatic transmission 18 can be used in common for adjustment of the ATF quantity.
