Abstract:

To appropriately control the input shaft rotational speed NI of an automatic transmission.

In this control device for the automatic transmission, an ECT_ECU performs a program including: a step (S102) of downshifting so that a B3 brake (or a B1 brake) is released and an engagement force of a C2 clutch is controlled to be reduced to a predetermined target value, and after that, the C2 clutch is disengaged, and a C1 clutch and the B1 brake (or the B3 brake) are controlled to be engaged with each other; and steps (S112, 122) of correcting the target value of the engagement force of the C2 clutch according to a rate of a change in turbine rotational speed NT (input shaft rotational speed NI of the automatic transmission).
