Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the unwilling advance of a vehicle by detecting the release action of a release button provided at the upper end of a shift lever and interlocked with a position pin and suppressing the operation of the equipment required for the start of an engine. CONSTITUTION:A control device 1 is rotated centering a hollow shaft 3 fixed with a shift lever 2 at the lower end. When a release button 4 is pushed, a position pin 5 is lowered, and the shift lever 2 is hooked on a position plate 7. A switch 10 detecting the release action of the release button 4 is provided in this constitution, and its operating piece 10a is provided on the shift lever 2 so as to face the position pin 5. The detection signal of the switch 10 is utilized as the control signal to suppress the operation of the equipment required for the start of an engine, e.g., a key cylinder 11, a starter motor 12, and a plug 13.
