Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress a level of vacuum pressure, generated when an engine is stopped, for a fuel quantity adjusting mechanism or the like and enhance its durability, by controlling the fuel quantity adjusting mechanism so as to decrease its quantity adjusted fuel prior to the action of a fuel cut unit, when the captioned auxiliary engine is stopped.

CONSTITUTION: Fuel, supplied from a fuel tank FT through a fuel cut unit FC and a fuel quantity adjusting mechanism FD, operates a Diesel engine (auxiliary engine) E/G, and its power drives an air conditioner A/C. A control unit CU controls a quantity adjusting member in the fuel quantity adjusting mechanism FD to be actuated by a stepping motor STM controlled by an instruction from the control unit CU. And when a stopping switch is controlled, the control unit CU gives an instruction, decreasing a fuel quantity in accordance with a decreasing extent different corresponding to an output from an engine speed sensor RS, to the stepping motor STM, thereafter the control unit, operating the fuel cut unit FC, stops the engine E/G.
