To solve dissatisfaction that control of a water level in a bathtub can not be immediately corrected during taking a bath.
This control device for a bath water heater comprises a water quantity sensor 14 detecting the quantity of water supplied to the bathtub 1 from a water heater 5, water level setting means 17a, 17b setting the water level of the bathtub, a water level detecting means 4 detecting a water level of hot water supplied into the bathtub, a bathing detecting means 6 detecting presence or absence of bathing on the basis of variation of the water level of the bathtub, and a control means 8 reading a water level change rate on the basis of a signal from the water level detecting means 4, and controlling the water heater until the set water level by the water level setting means 17a, 17b is achieved. The control means 8 monitors the variation of water level in bathing, and compares the same with a signal from the water level detecting means 4, to control hot water supply to immediately correct difference when the difference between the set water level and the water level before bathing is found.
