PURPOSE: To adequately control braking force distribution by a simple and inexpensive means to also a brake system wherein a rear wheel side has one system in a control device for braking force distribution adjusting the braking force of a wheel in the rear of a vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: The respective slip ratios, of right and left wheels RL and RR in the rear of a vehicle, to respective right and left wheels FL and FR in the front of the vehicle, are operated based on the detected output of wheel speed detecting means WS1-WS4 by a first slip ratio operating means SC1. Successively, based on a larger slip ratio out of operation-resultant slip ratios of the wheels RL and RR, a control mode is set by a first control mode setting means CM1, and a liquid pressure control device FV is driven by a driving means AM according to the control mode to concurrently adjust the braking force of the wheels RL and RR into a given relation to the braking force of the wheels FL and FR.
