Title:
CONTROL DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3423840
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable transmission controlling with proper shift speed by varying shift speed correspondingly to respective transmission modes which are determined to be up-shifting.
SOLUTION: A controller 9 sets a target shift ratio for following up a basic shift ratio which is set correspondingly to a normal state with specified shift speed based on sensed signals input from a vehicle speed sensor 10, a throttle sensor 11, an engine speed sensor 12, etc. Solenoid valves 7, 8 are feedback controlled so that an actual shift ratio is agreed with the target shift ratio. Up-shifting is determined in the case that an advancing rate of the transmission computed from the target and basic shift ratio is less than the specified value and the basic shift ratio is more than the target value. The throttle opening is determined whether it is a constant state, or it is substantially fully closed, or it is closed to a medium extent. Up-shifting is performed correspondingly to the states with the respective shift speed.
