Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve engine brake performance at the time of manual operation by fixing a torque transmission ratio variable control characteristic to a line at the time of engine total load during manual operation in a stepless speed change gear in which the torque transmission ratio is controlled to be variable according to a running condition. CONSTITUTION:A belt type continuously variable transmission mechanism 6 has a torque transmission ratio change fluid actuator 10 comprising cylinders 7, 8 mounted on input and output pulleys 1, 3. The discharged oil of a fluid pump 9 is supplied through pressure adjust valves 11, 13 to one cylinder 7. The pressure adjust valve 11 is controlled according to a load signal fluid PT from a throttle opening sensor valve 12, and the pressure adjust valve 13 is controlled according to a signal fluid from a ratio control valve 14. The ratio control valve 14 is provided with means for changing a speed range, which is adapted to set a signal fluid changed according to engine load at a value corresponding to engine total load in response to manual operation.
