Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize an engine speed with constantly excellent responsiveness, during idle running (or during crawling running operation) in the compression stroke injection mode of a fuel injection mode.
SOLUTION: A control device for a cylinder injection spark ignition type internal combustion engine is formed such that a fuel injection mode is enabled to switch to an intake stroke injection mode and a compression stroke injection mode. In this case, the control device comprises an idle state detecting means to detect the idle operation state of an internal combustion engine; an intake amount correction means to correct an amount of intake air fed to a combustion chamber; and fuel injection amount correction means (S14-S30). When a fuel injection mode is a compression stroke injection mode and an idle running state (S10 and S12), an idle speed is controlled based on not only an intake amount correction means but also fuel injection amount correction means (S14-S30).
