Abstract:

To provide a control device of a cylinder injection type internal combustion engine capable of restraining occurrence of combustion failure of a mixture by excessively enriching an air-fuel ratio of the mixture in a combustion chamber when re-starting under a condition that combustion chamber temperature on starting of an engine stop in the previous engine operation is low.

When the temperature at starting of the engine stop in the previous engine operation is assumed to be low at re-starting of the engine, it is the most probable that fuel is attached on inner wall surface of the combustion chamber 3 at starting of the engine start. Under such a condition, quantity decrease correction of fuel injection quantity or quantity increase correction of air intake quantity is performed at re-starting of the engine 1. Thereby, it is restrained that the air-fuel ratio is excessively enriched accordingly even if the attached fuel evaporates at re-starting of the engine.
