To provide a control device for a cylinder injection type spark ignition internal combustion engine, offering technology for compatibly improving the ignitability of mixture when the ignition gap of an ignition plug is relatively small and reducing required voltage when the ignition gap is large.
The control device is provided for the cylinder injection type spark ignition internal combustion engine which has a cylinder fuel injection valve provided in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine for executing intake stroke injection in an intake stroke and compression stroke injection in a compression stroke, and the ignition plug. The device comprises a compression injection ratio control means for controlling a compression injection ratio as the ratio of a fuel injection amount relating to the compression stroke injection to a fuel injection amount relating to the intake stroke injection depending on an aging change in the ignition gap of the ignition plug.
