Abstract:

To prevent seizure of an engine due to solidification of fuel in oil.

A control device for a diesel engine using fuel having characteristics to be solidified under a low temperature condition and controlling an operation state based on kinematic viscosity of lubricating oil, includes a dilution degree estimation means estimating degree of dilution of oil diluted by mix of fuel, a parameter value detection means detecting a parameter value relating to the temperature of oil, a kinematic viscosity calculation means calculating kinematic viscosity of oil based on the degree of dilution estimated by the dilution degree estimation means and the parameter value detected by the parameter value detection means, an oil abnormality determination means determining abnormality of oil when the kinematic viscosity calculated by the kinematic viscosity calculation means is larger than a prescribed value, and a rotation control means inhibiting engine speed from getting high when the oil abnormality determination means determines abnormality.
