Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a torque level at the time of shifting a burning method, by correcting an injection timing of fuel injection at stratified burning when shifting between stratified combustion and uniform combustion, in a device executing stratified combustion by injecting fuel into a combustion chamber in a compression process under the condition where warming has not finished yet.
SOLUTION: When a start cranking is required, a control unit 50 executes fuel injection for staring (fuel injection in an intake air process), thereby operating an engine 1 by uniform combustion. It is judged whether an exhaust emission cleaning catalyst 9 is activated or not, and when the judgement is NO, it is judged whether the temperature of a piston 15 exceeds a predetermined temperature or not. When the judgement is YES, a combustion mode is determined according to a combustion map and the like established corresponding to an operating area decided by an engine rotational speed and a load. In case of a operating area by stratified combustion, a fuel injection timing, during a compression process of the stratified combustion just before or soon after shifting, is park-advance corrected than a normal state, thereby preventing the generation of a difference in torque level.
