PURPOSE: To perfectly execute the precision parallel cutting action of narrow veneer by its procision parallel conveying action by a method wherein the setting of the specified buffering accelerating time and of the specified buffering decelerating positioning time are made possible and leading-in and leading-out conveyers are intermittently driven by means of servo motors and a digital controlling circuit.
CONSTITUTION: By starting the servo motors 3a and 3b of a leading-in and a leading-out conveyers 2a and 2b, the buffering accelerating time of the former of which is set in advance to be 40ms or more and up to about 200ms or preferably near 40 ms and the buffering decelerating positioning time of the latter of which is set in advance to be 80ms or more and up to about 200ms or preferably near 80ms, the conveying of narrow veneers 1 and 1a on the leading-in conveyer 2a is started and their defective parts to be cut off are detected with a veneer detector 9. The detection signal is transmitted to the sequencer 8 of the digital controlling circuit 4 so as to perform the intermittent driving control of the servo motors 3a and 3b and one-rotation controlling and half-rotation controlling of intermittent driving mechanisms 14a and 14b, which are respectively journaled to the crankshafts 11 and 13 of a clipper 10 and of a chip separating conveyer 12, are alternately performed. As a result, the veneers are conveyed precisely in parallel, resulting in allowing to successively and regularly deliver intermediate products, which are cut precisely in parallel, on the leading-out conveyer 2b.
