PURPOSE: To improve safety in case of shutting a shutter where a plurality of shutter curtains are placed in front and in the rear by lowering the rear-side shutter curtain before the lowering of the front-side shutter curtain.

CONSTITUTION: Electric shutters 1 and 2 for building are constructed of a plurality of shutter curtains 3 and 3' that are installed to an opening so that they are placed in front and in the rear. Then an opening and shutting control means that enables the rear-side shutter curtain 3' to be lowered before the lowering of the front-side shutter curtain 3 is provided to an opening and shutting control mechanism of the electric shutter 1 and 2 for the building. Thereby in the case of shutting the shutter, an operator for opening and shutting of the shutter can make the operation, making sure of safety by visual watching from beginning to end.
