Abstract:
To provide a control device that can ensure electrical blocking between a battery and an electronic control unit even when a defect occurs in the electronic control unit having a role to control a relay.SOLUTION: A control device 1 for a battery unit 20 mounted in an electric vehicle includes: a battery 10 that stores electric power to be supplied to a travel motor; a power control unit 12 that controls the electric power to be supplied to the travel motor; and a relay 14 that switches electric connection and blocking between the battery 10 and the power control unit. The control device is provided with a first electronic control unit 16 and a second electronic control unit 18. The control device drives the relay and electrically blocks the relay in accordance with a relay forced blocking command from the second electronic control unit when current flowing through the battery is not 0 after a predetermined time has elapsed from the starting of the relay forced blocking command due to an error detection by the second electronic control unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
