To provide an elevator control device for preventing persons from being contained in a car even when a building-side main switch trips due to over-capacity.
A current detecting device 6 of a building-side switch detects current through the building-side switch. A signal is inputted from the current detecting device 6 into a current inputting device 7. A total-current calculating device 8 adds a signal from the current inputting device 7 to current at starting of an elevator, and determines whether the result exceeds a capacity of the building-side switch. A trip control device 9 performs a trip operation of a main switch of other apparatus by the output result from the total-current calculating device 8, when the building-side switch exceeds the capacity in the case of running of the elevator.
