Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate the alcohol concentration of mixed fuel of alcohol and gasoline when the alcohol concentration of the mixed fuel is changed with fuel supply.SOLUTION: An ECU controls an engine which can use the mixed fuel of alcohol and gasoline. The ECU integrates a fuel injection amount after fuel supply when the fuel supply for the mixed fuel to a fuel tank is performed, and executes idle operation to set the engine into an idle state or load holding operation to hold an engine load at a predetermined value on the assumption that the fuel injected from a fuel injection valve is changed from the mixed fuel before the fuel supply into mixed fuel after the fuel supply when an integrated value for the fuel injection amount after the fuel supply is within a predetermined range. Then, the ECU estimates the alcohol concentration of the mixed fuel after the fuel supply from an air-fuel ratio feedback correction amount during the idle operation or the load holding operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
