Abstract:
To provide a control device for an engine capable of inhibiting a temperature in an engine compartment from rising during execution of temperature rise processing.SOLUTION: An engine 10 includes a fan 43 and a grille shutter 47 for controlling the amount of outside air caused to flow into an engine compartment 110, and is mounted into the engine compartment 110 of a vehicle 100. The engine 10 includes an exhaust emission control member in an exhaust passage. A control device 200 includes: a temperature rise control section 210 for executing temperature rise processing for raising a temperature of the exhaust emission control member; and an outside air amount control section 220 for controlling operations of the fan 43 and the grille shutter 47. During execution of the temperature rise processing, the outside air amount control section 220 starts outside air amount increase processing for controlling the fan 43 and the grille shutter 47 so as to increase the amount of outside air caused to flow into the engine compartment 110.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
