Abstract:
To provide a control device for an engine which features the injection (water injection) of predetermined high-temperature and high-pressure water into a combustion chamber, for reducing the generation amount of NOx during fuel combustion with water injection into the combustion chamber while preventing fuel from being hardly ignited and preventing a reduction in the rise amount of a cylinder pressure with the fuel combustion.SOLUTION: After a fuel injection valve injects fuel, a water injection valve starts water injection toward an area of a burnt part of the fuel in the combustion chamber at a predetermined timing when part of the fuel injected by the fuel injection valve is burnt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
