Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make adjusting an engine output easy when a traction control starts, in an engine which circulates more exhaust gas than a predetermined amount and jets fuel into a cylinder at an earlier point than at the top dead center in a compression stroke so that premixed compression ignition combustion starts close to the top dead center where the ratio of premixed combustion is bigger than that of diffusion combustion.
SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve 55 starts to generate diesel combustion which mainly consists of diffusion combustion, and an EGR valve 85 starts to reduce the amount of exhaust gas recirculation when the traction control is started while the premixed compression ignition combustion is being executed.
