Abstract:
To automatically perform correction and steering of a stable flight, in a flight apparatus with a plurality of hang glider type wings attached to a part above a vehicle.SOLUTION: When a vehicle onto which a hang glider type flight apparatus is mounted starts running to begin a flight, an automatic control device controls hydraulic cylinders of plates below respective wings 1 to operate to maximize attack angles of the wings; and when the vehicle is lifted and reaches a planned flight altitude, a computer outputs a correction using data of an altimeter and a sensor indicating a horizontal angle, and the control device controls the hydraulic cylinders to operate to reduce the attack angles of the wings so as to automatically perform a horizontal flight. When the vehicle is lifted further during the horizontal flight, the control device controls the hydraulic cylinders to operate to increase the attack angles of the respective wings; and at the same time in this state of reducing flight speed, automatically controls an engine to increase an output so as to suppress the speed reduction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
